Fenix Tk11 Tactical Flashlight Detailed Review
What's New in Fenix Model Tk11?
Fenix has updated the TK11 to a Cree XP-G (R5) light source, which is a high quality light source for a flashlight of this size, but is still not quite state of the art. The light offers a relatively high general mode at 48 lumens and a turbo mode at 258 lumens. The three hour battery life in turbo mode is quite good, but the general mode only lasts 12 hours due to the higher than average lumen output. The output is digitally regulated and maintains stable brightness levels throughout the entire discharge. The light has a fairly floody beam profile with a lot of spill and a very bright hotspot.
Design and Build
The TK11 has an extremely durable build as it is intended for outdoor or military use. It is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum with a Type III hard-anodized anti-abrasive finish. The body has a removable tactical grip ring with an optional lanyard attachment. The body has diamond-pattern knurling that provides solid grip. The bezel has three large crenellations and is designed with anti-roll features, though they are not that effective on a steep gradient. The components are sealed with O-rings and the light is waterproof the IPX-8 standard. The tailcap has a clicky switch, which prevents tail standing.
User Interface
The TK11 has a tail clicky switch that includes a momentary mode. Fully depressing the clicky switch turns the light on and off. To switch between the two brightness modes, it is necessary to rotate the head. This is a nice feature for someone who wants the option of tactical use as the light can be set to immediately turn on to Turbo mode. The light is extremely simple and easy to use with no additional hidden modes for special features.

Conclusions
Though brighter lights can be found, the size-to-output ratio for the TK11 is still quite good. The construction is top-of-the-line and the beam quality is excellent. At about five inches, this is an excellent choice for a medium EDC dual-output light. With the user-interface design, it is easy to use both tactically and for general purposes. The general mode is on the higher end for brightness, which makes this light an excellent option for outdoor use. Fenix consistently produces high-quality products at a competitive price, and this light is no exception.
